Toddler Crawled to "Comfort Zone" to Die
Melissa Calunsinski, an employee of Minee-Subee Day Care Center in Lincolnshire, admitted to killing 16 month old Benjamin Kingan.
She slammed the little boy on the floor causing him to suffer a severe fracture to his head.
After the attack, he grabbed his blanket and pacifier and crawled to his favorite bouncy chair. He was unresponsive when help arrived. He later died at a hospital.
My heart goes out to the family of Benjamin. Although I do not personally know this family, I would like to offer them my sincerest condolences.
I would like to take this moment to light a candle for Benjamin.
I didn't have a chance to meet him but I will forever remember him.
